KVR Ohana Bulletin Board

On June 2, the Kona Village/Hulalali Relief Fund made its first distribution. This was their announcement:

Today we were blessed to meet and give Relief Fund awards to over 140 Kona Village employees in our first distribution event. We even saw 45 employees in the first hour! Thanks to Cindy, Brenda, Aunty Lei, Kimo, Glendora and Gail; the day was a huge success.

The employees were very happy and many of them responded on Facebook.  Here are some of their posts:

I wanted to extend a special Mahalo to our wonderful guests and friends who were so kind to think of us Kona Village employees, and contribute to the Relief Fund. It was such a generous and thoughtful gesture, and I'm sure I can speak for all of us (there are many who are not on FB or who don't have computers, but I know they feel the same) in saying that we are truly grateful and thankful for this gift from your hearts. It was presented to us in very practical and usable gift certificates and cards.
I am so appreciative and feel very blessed.
Mahalo nui loa, Carole Brammer

Blessings to all you wonderful people who sent your aloha to us! I certainly thank you all for your gifts and in such a useful thoughtfulness! Aloha, Judy Rosenstern:

Aloha all,
When I came home today & showed my mother the grocery & gas cert. & cards, her eyes went wide. I think I saw a hint of unshed tears. My mother is not a particularly demonstrative person, but to see that much reaction upon realizing what true giving generosity our Kona Village houseguests, our Ohana, is truly remarkable. Thank you so much for you generous gifts you have given me and my mother as well as the rest of the KVR family.
Mahalo piha,

Thank you everyone. yesterday was a very pleasant surprise.

Much mahalos;

Tyson Rott
